HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW BILL O'REILLY HAS THE JOURNALISTIC ETHICS OF JOSEPH GOEBBELS, Minister for Propaganda to ADOLPH HITLER. (If you haven't seen this clip) After 5:35, GERALDO RIVERA argues feverishly with O'Reilly falling short of accussing him of shady journalistic ethics. Half a bravo to Rivera. However, when time is running short for the segment, the two FAUX-NEWS pundits engage in self congratulatory back patting about how FOX NEWS is fair and balanced. It rings hollow.

Conservatives hate hearing this. It makes them self-conscious and they dismiss the comparison out of guilt. But going back to Germany, 1933, when the assembly location of the German Parliament called The Reichstag was burned to the ground, Hitler's main propagandists blamed the Communists because one was allegedly found in the building after the fire. The government reacted, with the will of its frightened citizens, with the Reichstag Fire Decree of February 28, which suspended basic rights, including habeas corpus. Under the provisions of this decree, the German Communist Party and other groups were suppressed, and Communist functionaries and deputies were arrested, put to flight, or murdered.

History has repeated this kind of reactionarism in America after 9/11 with similar suspension of basic rights, including habeaus corpus as well as the vilification of certain political and racial groups. The next step for Nazis were their targeted hatred for the Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, intellectuals and religious leaders. The next step for right wing propagandists like Bill O'Reilly and others is to go after Latinos under the guise of protecting the borders..
